Registration is now open for the Big Swings for Big Futures Golf Tournament, to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peterborough.

The event is on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Liftlock Golf Club and funds raised will support youth mentorship programs and early-intervention initiatives, helping to empower young people facing adversity by matching them with caring adults. 

“With the growing need for mentorship in our community, events like this are essential,” said Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peterborough executive director Zoe King. “Every dollar raised helps us reach more young people who are waiting for a mentor.” 

The day will include a 1 p.m. shotgun start, 18 holes of golf, contests, prizes, and opportunities to connect with others who are passionate about supporting youth.

“Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peterborough currently serves children and youth across the region, many of whom are on a wait-list for mentorship,” reads a media release for the tournament.

“Funds raised through Big Swings for Big Futures will help reduce that wait-list and expand access to programs that foster confidence, resilience, and positive development.”
