Oxford North is quite an unusual development in that it will provide housing and employment.

Looking at other schemes that are popping up in and around the city, they tend to be one or the other.

The number of homes, specifically affordable homes, is what we focus on in our front page story this week.

Councillor Andrew Gant, the county's transport chief, has thrown his thoughts into the mix, saying he thinks the number of homes at the site is "pitiful".

People have been quick to defend the scheme. Oxford North's first phase will be fully open in the autumn........
