The Canadian Tulip Festival, held this year from May 9 to May 19, will be attended by many of Ottawa’s citizens. The festival commemorates Canadian soldiers who fought in the Netherlands and the friendship that exists to this day between our countries. My uncle was but one of the thousands of Canadians who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Netherlands.
