This summer, Oilersnation will recap the top five Edmonton Oilers goals, the top five fights, and the top five overall moments from the up-and-down 2025-26 season.  

There’s just something special about the Oilers’ goals with the netminder pulled in the dying seconds. I’m not sure if it’s because Jack Michaels is terrific at his job, or the horn-and-pounding-beat goal song they have, but these goals send a shiver down my spine. 

I think it stems from Jordan Eberle’s game-tying goal in the semifinals of the 2009 World Junior Championship. We’ve already looked at some honourable mentions for goals, but these five goals deserve their own section.

In this article, we’ll look at the five late goals that tied the game this past season.

Which last-minute goals stood out for the Oilers in 2025-26?

The Oilers had a knack for scoring these types of goals in the 2025 postseason; who could forget Evan Bouchard’s goal in Game 4 of the first round against the Kings? If they lose that game, the Oilers don’t go back to the Stanley Cup Finals. Those goals carried into this past season as well.

The first of these goals came on Nov. 10, one of the more notable games for the Oilers this past season. That game against the Columbus Blue Jackets is one that keeps showing up in this list (and will again), and for good reason. Down by two with just over six to play, Connor McDavid got the Oilers to within one.

But with 2:18 left in the game, still down one, Jack Roslovic took a high-sticking penalty, thus ending any hope the Oilers had, right? Wrong. With less than a minute left in the game, the Oilers’ forecheck forced a........
