Unnecessary roughness from ingrate Plaxico Burress, who compared Jets tenure to prison

We Jets fans have had enough.

We’ve endured every indignity and misfortune imaginable, from Mark Sanchez’ butt fumble to Aaron Rodgers’ ruptured Achilles.

We have been the laughing stock of the National Football League and the literal butt of jokes from every corner of the competitive sports universe.

But this one crossed the line.

And I’m not talking the goal line.

It has been a long time since Plaxico Burress has seen one of those, yet the one-time Jets wide receiver still felt empowered enough to unleash some unnecessary roughness on his former franchise.

Burress, who once suited up for the New York state prison system, was asked which was worse, being locked up or lining up for the Jets.

He took the ball and ran with it.

“So, they’re both kind of similar,” Burress said last week on Lil Wayne and Craig Carton’s The Joint........
