Whether you are heading to the coast or strolling around the city, there will always be a fish and chip shop nearby to enjoy a battered cod and mushy peas.

And as today celebrates National Fish and Chip Day (Friday, June 5), our readers have voted for the best place to grab this nation's favourite in Norfolk.

1. Mary Jane's Fish Bar, Cromer

Mary Janes has been providing the Norfolk coast with fish and chips since 1977, located only a stone's throw away from Cromer Pier.

As well as takeaway, it has a fully licenced restaurant that can seat 62 people and it offers a wide range of fish and other traditional meals all cooked to order.

The chippy was awarded a coveted Blue Ribbon in the Good Food Awards 2024/25, which shines a spotlight........
