The county's fleet has had monitoring devices installed to gather data on signal strength and download speed which will map where 'notspots' are an issue.

It comes as the problem of poor mobile phone coverage was highlighted by the damage caused by Storm Darragh, which left people living in rural villages without any power or means of contacting anyone for several days.
