IKEA announced the Norwich location among two other small stores in Chester and Harlow as part of the retailer's plan to be closer to where customers live, work, socialise and do their daily or weekly shopping.

The IKEA store will open on the former Homebase site in Hall Road Retail Park after the brand reached an agreement to acquire the site.
