Ex-public schoolboy spent £1.5 million of investors' cash on jets and supercars

Morgan Reeve had only just left fee-paying Langley School when he set up a business that promised large returns from trading on the foreign currency exchange and cryptocurrency markets.

Instead, he used investments from 19 victims to fund his luxury lifestyle and addiction to casinos and online gambling.

Many of those who entrusted him with savings were retired people from Norwich, King’s Lynn, Hunstanton and Wisbech wanting to boost their pension or provide for their children and grand-children.

Jailing him for seven years, Judge Andrew Shaw said his “single-minded pursuit of wealth came without a moral compass”.

“This was a brazen and persistent campaign of bare-faced lying - much of it sophisticated and cruel,” he added.

“I have not seen one shred of genuine remorse for your victims.”

Norwich Crown Court heard how aged just 19 he had posed as a successful multimillionaire and bragged on social media how his Morgan FX Limited business was funding a globe-trotting five-star lifestyle.
