Family-run ice-cream shop launching new flavours for bank holiday scorcher

Alessandro Glorio and his wife, Jenny Glorio, will be continuously making more gelato at their shop in Opie Street across what is expected to be a scorching hot bank holiday.

Temperatures are expected to soar above 30C this weekend and a heat health alert has been issued by the government.

The shop in Opie Street, which has "constant" queues on a summers day, has launched two new "refreshing" flavours of ice-cream and will open on Monday to keep up with the demand.
