Which Norfolk farms will be opening their gates for Open Farm Sunday?
Now in its 20th anniversary year, the event on June 7 is a nationwide celebration organised by LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming), connecting the public with how their food is produced and showing sustainable farming in action. Events in Norfolk and north Suffolk include:
Deepdale Farm, Main Road, Burnham Deepdale, PE31 8DD: Free open day on Sunday May 31, the final weekend of the half-term holiday. 10am–3pm. Explore a nature-friendly, regenerative, organic arable farm on the coast including guided walks, a nature trail quiz, working pony demonstrations, machinery on show, owl pellet dissection and Norfolk Wild Venison burgers and sausages to buy. RW Perowne, High House Farm & Cobble Hill Vineyard, Docking, PE31 8PD: Two bookable sessions, 11am–1pm and 2pm–4pm. Free vineyard tours covering English viticulture, a short drive to the winery for a winemaking masterclass, followed by tastings with light bites and a history of the farm by owner Robert Perowne.........
