Sabarimala: For a comprehensive development for ‘Sannidhanam’, Pamba and the trek route, the Kerala government has prepared a master-plan that is estimated to be around Rs 1036 crores. The cabinet approved the layout plan for Sabarimala as per the Travancore Devaswom Board which has proposed the idea so as to benefit the lakhs of devotees arriving at the hill shrine.

As per the plan, the first phase development of Sannidhanam will cost Rs 600.47 crore, second phase until 2028-33 Rs 100.02 crore and third phase until 2034-39 will cost Rs 77.68 crore. The total expenditure is Rs 778.17 crore.

“The government and the board plans to ensure that there is holistic development that will happen at the Sabarimala and nearby areas to ensure that the lakhs of devotees who arrive at the shrine will have a hassle free darshan”, said PS Prashanth, TDB president.
