Thiruvananthapuram : Congress leader and the Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor has once again ignited a major debate within his party, asserting that the Congress in Kerala suffers from a leadership crisis and the current crisis continue, there are chances that the party will remain as opposition for the third consecutive time.

“Congress party in Kerala has a vacuum as we speak. If the situation persists going forward, then there is a good chances that CPM will return to power if the infighting continues”, said Shashi Tharoor while speaking on a Podcast for an English daily.

Citing independent opinion polls, he said he is at the top of leadership stakes in the state. Tharoor stated that if the party wishes to leverage his leadership, he is willing, but if not, he has other commitments.
