'Shubman Gill is generational talent': Fans react to opener's 101 vs BAN in CT opener
New Delhi: Young Indian opener Shubman Gill played a sublime knock of 101 not out to lead India’s way in the moderate-but demanding chase of 229 at the Dubai International Stadium on Thursday. It was a calculative knock which had the components of precision and resoluteness in it.
The youngster started off well with Indian captain Rohit Sharma (41 off 36 balls) powering the team to a fiery start. Gill was fantastic at the task of grinding the Bangladesh bowler along with Virat Kohli (22 off 38 balls) in the middle overs when the strokes were getting difficult to make and the Bangladesh spinners got into its act.
Gill did see a min-collapse before his eyes with Kohli, Shreyas Iyer........
