Bangkok: An Australian woman landed in the hospital after swimming in one of Thailand’s beaches. Following her experience, she warned other tourists to be more careful. Netizens were quick to thank her for the warning. Angela Giakas said that she contracted a bacterial infection after a short swim in Thailand’s popular Monkey Bay.

While swimming, the woman unknowingly ingested some water. Little did she know, it would cause her health issues. Less than 16 hours later, the woman was admitted to the hospital.
