New Delhi: Former NCT member Moon Tae-il aka Taeil has pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated rape, as confirmed during the first trial held this week. The hearing was conducted more than a year after the alleged incident, which reportedly took place in June 2023.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office’s Women and Children’s Crime Investigation Division 1 had earlier indicted Taeil alongside two accomplices under the Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes. It was alleged that the three men had sexually assaulted a woman who was in an intoxicated state. The indictment was issued in February 2024.

On Wednesday (June 18), the defendants, including Taeil, admitted to the charges levelled against them. A sentence of seven years’........
