New Delhi: In a major boost for road infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, the government is looking to build the Vindhya Expressway in the state. Once comes into being, the expressway is expected to boost tourism in the state and also boost connectivity for commuters. Apart from tourism, the expressway will also boost the state in terms of business and economy.

As per officials, the expressway will connect Prayagraj to Mirzapur in the state. The length of the expressway will be 320 kilometres and will be six-lane. It will pass through various districts including Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Chandauli, and Sonbhadra. The cost of the entire project is around Rs 22,400 crore.
