Nainar Nagendran elected BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit President, succeeds K Annamalai
Chennai: A day after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its alliance with the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) for Assembly Elections in Tamil Nadu, the party elected Nainar Nagendran as the President of its state unit on Saturday. He has succeeded K Annamalai to the top post.
Soon after Nagendran was named as the next party President in the state, Annamalai said that the goal of the party was to oust the DMK from power.
