New Delhi: Ah, the annual ritual of the once-a-year greeting—what a marvel of modern relationships! Every New Year’s Eve, our phones buzz with a flood of messages from names we barely remember, or people who have barely kept in touch, offering a cheery “Happy New Year!”
These greetings, though well-meaning, one hopes, often feel like the conversational equivalent of automated birthday wishes on social media—a perfunctory and zealous show of their own self, rather than a genuine connection. Because true connections are nurtured, day by day, with sincerity and care.
Every New Year’s Eve,........
