New Delhi: Post-viral bronchitis is a common respiratory condition that occurs after a viral infection, such as the common cold or flu. It is characterized by inflammation and irritation of the bronchial tubes, which can cause persistent coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. In most cases, post-viral bronchitis is self-limiting, but it can take several weeks to resolve. Post-viral bronchitis is typically caused by a viral infection that affects the respiratory system. Certain individuals are more susceptible to developing post-viral bronchitis, including older adults, young children, smokers, people with pre-existing respiratory conditions, and those with weakened immune systems.
