New Delhi: A high-profile lawyer working at a prestigious law firm walked away from his $900,000 (Rs 7.8 crore)-a-year job after being denied non-transfer request to attend the birth of his child. Entrepreneur Nick Huber shared the lawyer’s story on social media, highlighting the extreme work culture in top-tier firms.

According to Huber, the lawyer had spent five years working 80-hour weeks at one of the world’s top litigation firms. Despite the intense schedule, he had climbed the ranks and secured a highly lucrative position. However, everything changed when he was assigned a case in another city while his wife was eight months pregnant.
