Both the Merseyside clubs won, with Liverpool keeping a nine-point lead in the competition.
The major attraction of this week’s fixtures is Arsenal hosting Manchester City, which could give a hint into how the title race will shape. Saturday will also see Manchester United take on Crystal Palace at the same time when Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur play their draw.
