Chennai: A senior IPS officer, Kalpana Naik, has alleged that an attempt was made on her life after she exposed irregularities in the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Commission. The incident occurred on July 29, 2024, when a fire broke out in her office room in Chennai.

According to Kalpana Naik, she received a call minutes before arriving at the office, warning her not to come in due to the fire.
