Chennai: A fresh wave of COVID-19 infections has emerged across several Asian countries, with India reporting a significant spike in cases over the past week. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Maharashtra have emerged as the worst-affected states in the country. The resurgence comes alongside rising cases in major Asian cities like Hong Kong and Singapore, where infections have crossed the 100-mark since May 12.
