New Delhi: In a major development from Maharashtra, the Congress has removed Nana Patole as the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President and appointed Harshvardhan Sapkal in his place.

Additionally, Vijay Wadettiwar has been appointed as the Leader of the Legislative Party. Harshvardhan Sapkal was elected MLA from the Buldhana Assembly constituency in 2014 on Congress ticket. Sakhpal is known for his aggressive political style and eloquence.
