Mumbai: In a bid to resolve persistent traffic congestion near Malad railway station, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced an ambitious plan to build two 9.15-meter-wide roads connecting SV Road and Anand Road. The initiative is expected to ease vehicular and pedestrian movement in one of the city’s busiest areas.
The project, fast-tracked under the guidance of Union Commerce Minister and Mumbai (North) MP Piyush Goyal, is slated to begin construction within three to four months. “These roads will bring much-needed relief to the residents of Malad. Progress is well on track, and we are committed to timely implementation,” Goyal stated during a media briefing.
