Bengaluru beats Chennai, clinching 'best city' spot for working women; Mumbai follows
Bengaluru: Bengaluru has emerged as the leading city in India for working women, surpassing Chennai, according to the latest “Top Cities for Women in India” (TWI) survey by workplace culture consulting firm Avtar Group. The city’s inclusive, secure, and adaptable environment for women professionals has been key to its rise to the top in 2024.
The survey, which evaluates gender inclusivity in various urban centres, found that South India continues to dominate, with 16 cities from the region making it into the top 25. While Mumbai secured third place and Delhi ranked eighth, cities in South India, especially Bengaluru and Chennai, stood out for their progress in fostering gender equality.
