Mumbai: The financial capital of the country is all set to witness the inauguration of its second cable-stayed bridge soon. This will be the first cable-stayed bridge built entirely on a landmass. The overbridge is coming up at Reay Road in South Mumbai on Harbour Railway Line and is all set to open in February. The bridge will be a boon for commuters as it will boost connectivity in the region.

The construction of the state-of-the-art overbridge started in February 2022 under the aegis of Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (MahaRail). Addressing a gathering in Nagpur on Sunday, MahaRail CEO Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal said that the construction of the cable-stayed bridge was nearing completion.
