Delhi-NCR air quality improves, GRAP-1 curbs lifted
New Delhi: The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has cancelled Stage-I rules of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in Delhi-NCR with immediate effect. This decision was made because the air in the region has improved and the Air Quality Index (AQI) is now in the ‘Moderate’ range.
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) recorded the AQI as 184 on May 1, which falls in the moderate category.
