Bengaluru: In a sad news for beer lovers, prices of the alcoholic drink have surged again in the state starting today. However, not all brands of beer have witnessed the surge in price. Beer brands, that are under Rs 300 and affordable for the common man, have witnessed a significant hike in price. Prices of popular beer brands like Legend, Powercool, Black Fort and several others have surged by Rs 10 to Rs 45. The revised prices have come into effect stating today (January 20).

This is the third time in a year that the beer prices have been increased in Karnataka. The Siddaramaiah government has increased the duty on beer. The price of imported goods was also increased........
