Dense fog tightens grip on North India; Delhi, UP and Punjab among worst hit
New Delhi: Several parts of North India, including Delhi-NCR, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, woke up to dense fog on Friday morning. Delhi and its neighboring regions, including Ghaziabad and Noida, experienced visibility dropping to zero in some areas.
Along with the fog, cold wave conditions are likely to grip isolated areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh on January 10.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), dense to very dense fog will continue during the night and early morning hours in several parts of Punjab till January 11 and in Haryana and Chandigarh on January 10.
