Mumbai: The BSE Sensex jumped 410.19 points to close settle at 81,596.63 on May 21, 2025, Wednesday. The NSE Nifty gained 129.55 points to settle at 24,813.45. The benchmark stock indices rebounded sharply as investors resorted to buying blue-chips HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank stocks and a firm trend in Asian peers.

The 30-share Sensex jumped 835.2 points or 1.02 per cent to 82,021.64 in morning trade on May 21, 2025, Wednesday. The NSE Nifty gained 262.3 points to 24,946.20.

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold equities worth Rs 10,016.10 crore on May 20, 2025, the data from the exchange informed.
