New Delhi: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Sanjay Malhotra announced the outcome of the first Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the new financial year (2025-26) on Wednesday. Malhotra announced that the the RBI MPC unanimously decided for a 25 basis points reduction in the short-term lending rate, i.e. repo rate.

The RBI MPC members unanimously decided to reduce policy rate by 25 basis points to 6 per cent, Malhotra announced.........
