Kolkata: If you frequently drive or ride through toll plazas in India, chances are that you would be regularly irritated by long queues at the toll gates. Come August 15, and it could be the beginning of the end of this trouble, thanks to a new FASTag-based pass which is gping to be introduced.

The Centre is going to introduce a FASTag-based annual pass of Rs 3,000, Union minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari has announced on a social media post. The pass will be introduced on August 15 this year. The new move will result in lower waiting times and help ease congestion at toll plazas,........
