New Delhi: Yet again, Suryakumar Yadav rose to the occasion for Mumbai Indians (MI) as this time he helped the team sail into the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 playoffs with a clinical 59-run victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday. The two teams locked horns in a virtual quarterfinal clash, eyeing the last playoff berth, and the Mumbai batter came up with a half-century to bag the Player of the Match (POTM) award at the end.

In what was a sweet gesture while receiving the award, Suryakumar dedicated the prize to his wife, Devisha Shetty, and shared a “story” behind doing so. “It’s been 13 games now. My wife told me a sweet story........
