PM Modi in France: Strengthening bilateral ties and furthering military cooperation key for visit
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in France on Monday for a two-day visit where he will also be a co-chair of an AI Action Summit with French President Emmanuel Macron. The visit will also see the Prime Minister holding bilateral talks with his French counterpart to strengthen the strategic partnership among both countries and further military cooperation between the two. From Paris, PM Modi will travel to the US for the second leg of his two-nation tour.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to France comes at an important time. With global conflicts raging, developments of AI coming at a fast pace and the re-election of Donald Trump as the US President, uncertainties in global politics are all pervasive at the moment.
On Tuesday, PM Narendra Modi will co-chair the AI Action Summit along with French President Emmanuel Macron. The AI Summit is much awaited, especially after the massive description caused by China’s DeepSeek, coming out of the blue to rival its top competitor Chat GTP and other international AI models.
The AI event which will be held at the Grand Palais in France is expected to host around 1,500 attendees and is to include lectures and panel discussions on the future of AI, and both the possibilities and challenges related to this new and powerful technology.
