The production of multiple, interconnected but varied movie franchises seems to be the new order of the day in popular, global cinema. While Marvel can be credited with popularising this concept and showing its commercial viability to the world, in India, it is Rohit Shetty who seems intent on replicating the multiverse phenomenon for India.
