SpaceX Falcon 9 successfully deploys satellites from 3 Indian startups
New Delhi: The SpaceX Falcon 9 Transporter 12 mission was a dedicated multisatellite flight with over 130 payloads on board. The rocket lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California around 12:30 IST. Bengaluru based Pixxel Space has sent up a swarm of three Firefly satellites, forming the highest resolution commercial constellation capable of hyperspectral Earth imaging. Pixxel plans to launch three more satellites. Another Bengaluru based new space startup, Digantara has deployed its Space Climate and Object Tracker satellite, that provides space situational awareness by space weather or solar activity, and other objects in Earth orbit, inputs that can be used to protect orbital assets.
