Intuitive Machines to fly its second Moon Lander no sooner than 26 Feb
New Delhi: The second Intuitive Machines mission to the Lunar Surface is slotted to fly on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket no sooner than 26 February. The landing zone is close to Mons Mouton, the tallest officially named mountain on the lunar surface. The target landing zone is closer to the lunar south pole than any other mission with lander that used a controlled descent. The Moon Lander is dubbed Athena, and will follow Odysseus, which was the first private mission to successfully reach the Moon in Feburary last year with a soft, controlled landing, paving the way for commercial operations on the lunar surface.
