Killing Khamenei would end Iran-Israel war, says Netanyahu as conflict escalates

Tel Aviv: As the conflict between Iran and Israel grows more intense, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview with ABC News that he is not ruling out the possibility of targeting Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. When asked directly whether Israel would attempt to eliminate Khamenei, Netanyahu replied that Israel was “doing what it needs to do.” Netanyahu also claimed that taking action against Khamenei would not make the situation worse, but would actually bring the conflict to an end.

ABC News chief Washington correspondent Jonathan Karl brought up reports that former US President Donald Trump had previously vetoed an Israeli plan to assassinate Khamenei. Netanyahu responded, saying, “It’s not going to escalate the conflict, it’s going to end the conflict.”
