Fresh Israeli strikes on nuclear sites in Iran, Khamenei says Israel will be left 'helpless'
Tehran: Israel has reportedly launched a new wave of strikes on Iran, according to a BBC report. In response, Iranian state media said air defence systems were activated across the country to counter the incoming threats. Press TV reported that missiles were intercepted in southern Tehran, while Iran’s national broadcaster, IRIB, confirmed additional strikes targeting the western parts of the capital.
The city of Karaj, located near Tehran, was also hit, as per IRIB reports. Soon after the renewed strikes, Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei declared that Iranian forces “will leave Israel helpless.” The BBC has verified a video showing the aftermath of one such strike near Tehran.
