Opinion | PoK Turmoil Challenges Pakistan’s Domination

The continued call of the people of POJK to highlight their issues reflects the belief that their voices deserve to be heard and their rights acknowledged.

For the past more than 70 years, Pakistan has been treating Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) as its colony and its residents as second-class citizens. The discrimination and step-motherly treatment faced by the people of POJK have triggered resentment, which has spilled over to the streets. Peaceful protesters in PoJK, who are demanding their basic rights, are being greeted with bullets.

Streets of many areas in POJK have turned red with blood as the Pakistani State is using all its might to stifle the voices emerging from its colony called PoJK.
