The Issue: Cornell University allowing a student who said he’s “not interested in working for a Jew” to return.

Could you imagine the reaction if Austin Franco had rejected an offer from a predominantly black or Muslim law firm because of its ethnicity? If that student were not removed from Cornell, there would likely be protests (“Hateful “Beg’ot,” Aug. 2).

But the reaction to the student’s Jewish bigotry has been relative silence. This is one reason that antisemites feel encouraged to hold and promote their beliefs.

Franco need not worry. I am certain he will be offered a position in a prestigious law firm and soon promoted to partner. Then he will be appointed to Mayor Mamdani’s judiciary advisory panel.
