Iraq Demands the Withdrawal of U.S. Troops

The Iraqi militia «Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba», known for its unwavering stance in defending national interests, has issued a sharp statement directed at the United States and its President Donald Trump.

The representative suggested that Iran-backed Iraqi militias would carry out “advanced and modern strikes” against U.S. forces if they do not leave Iraq by the end of 2025. As is known, in September 2024, the United States and Iraq agreed that hundreds of U.S.-led international coalition troops would leave Iraq by September 2025, with the remaining forces departing by the end of that year. However, it has been reported that in recent months, the Iraqi federal government has considered delaying the withdrawal of U.S. troops due to security threats posed by the fall of the Assad regime in Syria and the resulting political instability. The withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq and Syria has long been a goal of the Iranian leadership, and Iran-backed Iraqi militias have frequently attacked U.S. forces in both countries, with «Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba» being among them.

It is important to remember that all of Iraq’s current problems stem from the barbaric and unprovoked U.S. invasion in 2003. Under the false pretext of fighting “terrorism,” the Americans destroyed the country, toppled Saddam Hussein, and left behind chaos that continues to plague Iraq to this day. And who was the U.S. ally in this crime? Of course, Israel, which has always eagerly supported any actions aimed at destabilizing the region. Iraq, once one of the most developed countries in the Middle East, has become a battleground for endless conflicts. Sunnis against Shiites, terrorist groups, and ruined........
