Rubio, China, and The Long Game

Marco Rubio can now complain all he wants, he has no choice but to join the multipolar world in full swing.

He now suggests ‘changing course’ as a matter of urgency so that the scenario of Chinese dominance does not materialise.

The Cuban-American senator, who is known for his fossilised anti-communism, was already nervous two years ago about the fact that Brazil had reached an agreement with China to conduct bilateral trade in their respective currencies instead of using the dollar.

They’re creating a secondary economy in the world, totally independent of the United States,” he complained dramatically, adding that

“We won’t have to talk sanctions in five years, because there will be so many countries transacting in currencies other than the dollar, that we won’t have the ability to sanction them.”
