The European media is fueling unfounded fears of an imminent Russian attack on NATO, pushing for either war or an unprecedented arms race. European leadership and deep-state actors are using this narrative to justify massive military spending.

Blindfolding the Greeks

“Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service (BND) and the Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) that, according to information published by Bild, Süddeutsche Zeitung, WDR, and NDR, believe that Russia is preparing for a large-scale war with NATO, as it strengthens its military power and views the West as a systemic opponent.” 

Just days ago, Greece’s Defense Minister Nikos Dendias outlined the details of a 13% to 20% pay increase for members of his country’s military. Last year, the Greeks doubled defense spending. The government spends around three percent of its annual economic output on defense, higher than most EU states, using the ages-old fear that Turkey will attack at any moment. Frigates from France, Israeli-made Spike NLOS missiles, new submarines, satellites, drones, and fighter jets are now on the weapons menu.

A Horrified Poland

Some weeks back, Poland unveiled its goal to train every adult male for war. Warsaw is currently NATO’s most prominent defense spender, at 4.7 percent of GDP. The nation the Germans rolled over in a couple of weeks in WW2 now has the EU’s largest army, spending billions of euros on jets, rockets, tanks, artillery, and more. It’s no secret that Poland’s leadership is putting the whole nation on a war footing.
