More than 1.5 years have passed since the beginning of Israel’s genocidal operations in Gaza, under the veneer of eliminating Hamas. Israel has been unable to inflict any major blow to Hamas but has devastated the civilian population of the Gaza Strip.

Unprecedented Violence and Humanitarian Collapse

According to some conservative estimates, more than 60000 Palestinian civilians have been killed, with the highest ever recorded proportion of child deaths—approximately 17000—in any modern urban conflict. In reality, the actual death toll of this genocide is higher than what is estimated. According to a UNICEF report, over 50000 Palestinian children have been killed or injured in this conflict. It further states that a huge proportion of the children injured in the conflict require amputation. The UNICEF report states that the current situation in the region is causing “unimaginable horrors”.
