Poisonous Falsehood from Ramin Fatehi
Jim Geraghty subjects the chief prosecutor for Norfolk to well-deserved criticism for his rant yesterday about how “we live in a country where people care more about guns than they care about six-year-old children.” The main reason gun-control proposals don’t tend to go far in our country is that most people, with good reason, don’t believe they will do much good. That doesn’t mean they don’t care about children or other victims of gun violence. But a lot of advocates of the conventional gun-control agenda are happier congratulating themselves for allegedly being better people than their opponents than they are making any headway on their stated objectives.
