The Quebec political bombshell that dropped on Wednesday morning should not have taken anyone by surprise. François Legault’s resignation was inevitable as poll after poll indicated his Coalition Avenir Québec could be wiped off the political map if he led them into the election this fall. This week’s Pallas poll showing his party tied in last place was seemingly the last straw.
