Libman: Could the CAQ defeat the PQ without Legault?

François Legault’s testimony this week before the commission investigating the problem-plagued digitalization of the auto insurance board — the $500 million in cost overruns at SAAQclic — will likely just hasten his departure.
The buck stops with the premier. By blaming others and asserting he was in the dark, Legault is essentially admitting to a lack of competent oversight and leadership — the kind seen with the disastrous and now-abandoned Northvolt battery plant investment.
For what may initially have seemed like good ideas, the steward of our tax dollars failed his due diligence into the details, planning and those entrusted........
